Preschool
Young-Uns Preschool Program provides developmentally appropriate curriculum fostering the growth and development of children who are 3 through 5 years of age. Our program promotes a child's socialization skills through play with peers, educational activities and interaction with warm, caring teachers. Young-Uns goal is to help prepare the children for kindergarten. Our preschool program is partnered with Dubuque Community School District and follows Creative Curriculum.
Young-Uns is part of the state wide volunteer preschool program (SWVPP) which is a free four year old preschool grant. All of Young-Uns preschool teachers are certified teachers with their bachelor degrees in Elementary Education and/or Early Childhood.
Our preschool classroom size ranges from 8-18 children. Young-Uns Preschool program provides 2 teachers for preschool if there are more than 10 children.
