Food Program

Young-Uns’ serves breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon snacks Monday through Friday. The menu is on a six week rotating basis and includes a variety of meats, pastas, vegetables, and fruits. All snacks and meals meet the required guidelines of the Department of Human Services. Once during the six week cycle, a “cook’s choice” meal is offered. This has been a great way to introduce new foods to the children.
Young-Uns is a peanut free facility.
Meals are served family style. Children and staff sit at the table together. Food is put in appropriate size dishes so children are able to pass the food to each other in a relaxed environment.
Young-Uns does not qualify for the subsidized food program at this time.
Below is our 6 week lunch and snack menu. For updates and changes, please see the white board.
Our cook completed the standards set forth by the ServSafe food protection Manager Certification Examination, which is accredited by the American National Standards institute (ANSI) - Conference for Food Protection ServSafe.
